2025 Ford F-150 Lightning for Sale near Houston, Texas

The all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning was added to the F-150 family in 2022, and since then, it’s occupied a distinctive place in Ford’s lineup. As the only Ford EV truck on the market, the Lightning can do things the base F-150 can’t while still offering impressive towing capacity to make it a reliable daily workhorse. The Ford Lightning is built on the classic F-150 frame, but swaps the gas/diesel powertrain for a pair of electric motors. While the EV F-150 should look quite familiar to folks familiar with Ford’s best-seller, it has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. When you think of EV trucks, you might think of brands like Rivian, Tesla, and even Hummer. Still, if you’re looking for affordability and performance, the F-150 Lighting far outclasses the competition. It forgoes a lot of the gimmicks, frills, and design choices the other brands have adopted, making it the practical choice for daily use. Best of all, the Lightning qualifies for the full EV tax credit of $7,500 as long as your build is below $80,000. To learn more about the F-150 Lightning, visit our Ford dealership near Houston!

2025 F-150 Lightning Charge Range and Towing

Every Ford Lighting EV truck is equipped with a dual-motor layout that provides 452 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, solidifying it as a rock-solid worker. The base F-150 Lightning towing capacity sits at 7,700 lbs, but if you opt for an Extended Range battery, you can tow up to 10,000 lbs. Base models support a payload of up to 1,800 lbs, but the more powerful battery increases capacity to an even 2,000 lbs. At its quickest, the Lightning can run from 0 to 60 in as little as 4 seconds flat.

Focusing on the battery, the base option is 98.0 kWh, offering a driving range of up to 230 miles per charge. The larger battery is well worth the added cost, as it offers a capacity of 131.0 kWh, extending your driving range to 320 miles while also enhancing the extra performance detailed above. The F-150 Lightning utilizes multiple charging ports, including 110- and 220-volt home outlets, as well as DC Fast Chargers, which allow for a charge from 0 to 80% in approximately 44 minutes. One of our favorite features about the Lightning is you can use it as a backup generator when needed! Whether you’re powering your jobsite or charging your tools, outlets in the bed and the front trunk ensure you always have a charge. When needed, a fully charged Lightning can charge a household for up to three days.
